Introducing the new generation of the Hi-Tech Optimiser…
The Hi-Tech Optimiser+

As a result of ongoing research and development, by the leaders of compressed carbon

filtration, we are excited to bring you the Hi-Tech Optimiser+, the same great HTO cartridge you know and love… but even better.

💧What is the difference between the HTO and the HTO+?

In simple terms, HTO+ carries the standards set by HTO to the next level of performance. The new cartridge incorporates the very latest in carbon block technologies that have been selected to work in synergy with the new electrostatic outer wrap.

The result is a filtration cartridge that establishes performance standards that are demonstrably superior in every way.

The need for the HTO+ is highlighted by significant changes in water quality across Australia, including the use of chlorine and chloramine as disinfectants, water recycling, increasing copper corrosion, aging pipe-work infrastructure and increased levels of pollutants such as blue-green algae.

✅ Added benefits of the Luxe Collection Hi-Tech Optimiser+ Cartridge

Choosing the Luxe Collection Hi-Tech Optimiser+ Cartridge will provide you with superior

compressed carbon block filtration with the additional benefits of reducing arsenic from your water, which commonly affects people through contamination of water sources via human activities such as mining, fracking, coal power plants and pesticides, to name a few.

The HTO+ will also reduce microcystins, which can come from certain cyanobacteria blooms. These can be found in Australian water catchments that have calm and stable water conditions like slow-flowing rivers, which can then find their way into our drinking water catchments.

Another important benefit of the HTO+ is its ability to reduce polychlorinated biphenyls and PFOA/PFOS (PFAS). Both these contaminants are introduced to the environment via industrial processes and products which have a need to be resistant to water/heat/oil/grease etc with the most publicised being firefighting foam used around airports.

*Independent laboratory testing of the HTO+ cartridge has indicated that PFAS contaminants will be reduced. However, formal NSF testing and certification are still in progress

When using the HTO+, you know you have the best possible protection provided by the best compressed carbon block technology.

👀What is the difference between the HTO+ and other generic carbon block cartridges on the market?

To explain it simply, most other generic carbon block cartridges on the market are extruded carbon blocks. Extruded carbon blocks are made in a very long block and then cut into the filter size required (e.g 10 inch). Because of that, the formula and consistency of the carbon block can change from cartridge to cartridge.

Both our HTO and HTO+ Cartridges are compressed carbon block cartridges. Which are made individually, one at a time. Therefore, the consistency of the materials used is equal to each block rather than more in one than another.

This is very critical based on the ability of the HTO and HTO+ can remove compared to an average carbon block. One of the easiest ways to differentiate between an extruded and compressed carbon blocks is, the depth of the carbon and the weight of the cartridge, as compressed carbon blocks can be heavier due to the amount of carbon present.
