Installation	Under-sink / point-of-use reverse osmosis installation
Installer	Installation by a licensed plumber
Connections	Cold water supply only. Includes a 15 mm isolation valve and ½" × ¼" reducer. Requires connection to the cold water supply, filtered water faucet and drain. Drain installation must comply with AS/NZS 3500.2.
Service Clearance	Allow adequate under-sink space for the RO-5U and sufficient tubing length so the unit can be removed from the cupboard for servicing. Supporting shelf must be suitable for the 16.5 kg full system weight.

Install in accordance with AS 3500.1, with the drain line installed in accordance with AS/NZS 3500.2. An internal pressure limiting valve is fitted, so an external pressure limiting valve is not required. The drain clamp must not be installed downstream of or directly on the trap. For a single-trap installation, a 50 × 40 mm trap extension is required.

Filtration Configuration	5-stage reverse osmosis purification
Filtration Performance	Five-stage treatment incorporating sediment filtration, granular activated carbon, carbon block filtration, reverse osmosis and final post-treatment. The RO membrane reduces chemicals, total dissolved solids, metals, bacteria and viruses.

Stage 1 reduces sediment particles including sand, silt, dirt and rust down to a nominal size of 5 micron.

Stage 2 GAC reduces volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine and other chemicals.

Stage 3 Carbon Block reduces chlorine, organic chemicals and unpleasant taste.

Stage 4 reverse osmosis reduces chemicals, total dissolved solids, metals, bacteria and viruses.

Stage 5 provides final taste and odour treatment, with the GAC + Calcite option also raising water pH towards neutral.

Performance and cartridge life may vary depending on individual usage and incoming water quality.
