Filtering shower water to reduce your chlorine exposure can be a great way to promote healthier, hydrated skin and softer hair.
Why use a shower filter? Disinfection chemicals like chlorine are often added to our town water supplies to kill germs and bacteria. However, in hot shower water, the chlorine can vaporise and be inhaled while also being absorbed through our skin. Some people experience dry, itchy skin, brittle hair, irritated sore eyes and worsened health conditions (such as asthma and eczema) from exposure to chlorinated water. Once the water has safely arrived to your home, the disinfection chemicals have done their job and there is no need to shower in them – so use a shower water filter!
Pure and simple science: The High Output Shower Filter works by using Sprite’s special patented filtration media, Chlorgon, and the Redox process to convert chlorine into harmless chloride molecules. Chloride molecules are too large to be absorbed by skin or vaporise into steam that can be inhaled - unlike potentially harmful chlorine molecules.
Chlorgon is a powerful blend of copper, zinc and calcium sulfide inside the High Output Shower Filter’s cartridge which filters water when it passes through. Chlorgon does not slow down your water flow rate, and has been designed specifically for hot water use. Chlorgon actually becomes more efficient when water temperatures increase (maximum temperature = 49°C).
Inside the High Output Shower Filter’s ultra-high-strength housing is an easy to reverse and replace cartridge. The cartridge is recommended by Sprite to be replaced every 12 months for optimum filtering performance. This shower filter is better for your body and better for the environment, as the High Output Shower Filter’s cartridge is easy to recycle. Simply poke a hole in the cartridge’s screen and empty the contents into garden soil. The cartridge is then able to be placed with other recyclables.
The High Output Shower Filter is easy to DIY install (does not require a plumber) and is compatible with most shower setups. This filter can be installed with an optional shower rose, a 3-setting shower head, or just the filter body can be connected to your existing shower head to effectively filter your shower water.
Option for a shower rose (shower head) that allows you to enjoy the luxury of your choice of 3 filtered water output settings that include massage, spray and regular. The shower rose is made with ABA plastic with a plated finish.

I love having this filter on my shower. The water feels, smells and tastes so much better and so does my hair and skin! I used to have quick showers because I could smell when our water had been chlorinated and it used to make my skin dry and itchy. Well.. no more! I find my skin is back to how it used to be and i dont have to drench myself in moisturiser all the time.
And and added bonus is no more scale on my glass.

Loving this filter. The only reason I gave it 4stars was because they sent instructions that didn’t apply to the shower head unit I purchase (I ended up googling the installation info)

Attached this to my town water supplied shower 12 months ago and immediately noticed the absence of that chlorine smell in the steam. Since then I have also noticed my skin and long thick hair has become softer. Fabulous product which I highly recommend to everyone on town water, do yourself and your family a favour. You will never go back to bathing in chlorine again!
