Fluoride is a mineral that is added as a total dissolved solid (TDS) to many municipal water supplies across Australia.  

The most effective way to remove or reduce the amount of fluoride in tap water is by the process of reverse osmosis.

The reverse osmosis process separates the water molecules from impurities in the water by firstly filtering the water through a series of carbon filters then forcing the water through a specialised membrane.
