Doulton Ultracarb Cartridge

For highly efficient tank water filtration, the submicron Doulton Ultracarb is an ideal three-stage cartridge. The Doulton Ultracarb combines enhanced ceramic technology, activated carbon water treatment and heavy metal reducing ion exchange media.

The tiny pores in this ceramic cartridge mimic the actions of rocks in nature, letting drinking water flow through while micro filtering bacteria and pathogens, but allowing healthy minerals to remain. Measuring 0.9 micron (100 times smaller than a human hair) these pores work to protect your family from harmful contaminants, leaving great tasting, healthier water to flow through your tap.

The Doulton Ultracarb is formulation tested to remove 99.99% of bacteria, parasites and particles – such as potentially harmful pathogenic organisms like giardia, cryptosporidium, e-coli, cholera, typhoid kiebsiella terrigena and shigella.

The pore size and structure are expertly manufactured to consistently reduce a wide range of contaminants over the cartridge’s lifetime. Because the Doulton Ultracarb’s outer ceramic surface is designed to catch and filter a large range of contaminants such as sediment, dirt and parasite cysts (like giardia and cryptosporidium), this may cause the cartridge’s flow to reduce over time. The Doulton Ultracarb can be conveniently restored to its normal flow level during its 12-month period of use with a little DIY maintenance. Simply remove the ceramic cartridge from its housing and gently scrub clean with a brush or a lightly abrasive pad for an extended life and improved flow.

Although the Doulton Ultracarb reduces disinfection products found in town water (such as chlorine) this cartridge is best recommended for use with water supplies high in sediment such as tank water. This 10” cartridge can conveniently fit into most portable Bench Top Water Filters and Under Sink Filtration Systems.

Replacement

The Doulton Ultracarb cartridge should be replaced every 12 months.
