Marketing & Unsubscribe Policy
Marketing Communications, Unsubscribing and Removal Requests
Pure Water Systems (Aust) Pty Ltd respects your privacy and your right to opt out of marketing communications at any time.
We are committed to managing marketing communications and unsubscribe requests in accordance with applicable Australian legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
How to Unsubscribe from Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from Pure Water Systems marketing communications at any time using the following methods:
-
Email Marketing: Click the unsubscribe link included at the bottom of our marketing emails.
-
SMS Marketing: Follow the opt-out instructions provided in our marketing SMS messages.
-
Other Marketing Enquiries or Removal Requests: Contact us at info@purewatersystems.com.au.
We strongly encourage customers to use the automated unsubscribe options provided in our marketing communications. These methods are designed to record and process unsubscribe requests directly through our marketing systems, reducing the risk of manual processing errors.
Valid unsubscribe requests will be processed in accordance with applicable Australian law, including within five working days for commercial electronic messages covered by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
You are not required to provide unnecessary additional personal information to unsubscribe from identifiable marketing communications.
Identifying Your Contact Records
Pure Water Systems may maintain customer and marketing information across multiple systems, including our ecommerce platform, customer databases, email marketing platforms, SMS services and authorised third-party service providers.
To locate and remove a marketing subscription, we must be able to reasonably identify the email address or telephone number associated with that subscription.
Please be aware that the email address or telephone number you use to contact us may not be the same contact information previously provided to Pure Water Systems.
For example, if you contact us using an email address that does not appear in our records, we may be unable to identify a separate marketing subscription associated with another email address or telephone number.
Where the contact details receiving marketing communications are not apparent from your request, we may ask you to identify those details to assist with locating the relevant records.
We will conduct reasonable searches using the information available and process valid unsubscribe requests for any contact details we can identify.
Requests Involving Multiple or Historical Contact Details
If you wish to be removed from all Pure Water Systems marketing communications, it is advised that you provide all relevant email addresses and telephone numbers you have previously used when interacting with our business.
This may include:
-
Current or previous email addresses.
-
Current or previous mobile or telephone numbers.
-
Alternative contact details used when placing orders, making enquiries or subscribing to marketing communications.
Please be aware that the email address or telephone number you use to contact us may not be the same contact information stored in our marketing databases.
Providing these additional details is voluntary. However, without sufficient information to identify historical or alternative records, Pure Water Systems cannot guarantee that all associated marketing records will be located or removed.
We will always process valid unsubscribe requests for identifiable contact details in accordance with applicable Australian law, regardless of whether additional information is provided.
When We Cannot Locate Your Information
If you submit a removal request and the contact details provided do not match any identifiable records in our systems, Pure Water Systems will conduct reasonable searches using the information available.
If no matching records can be located, we will advise you of the outcome and may request further information to assist with a more comprehensive investigation.
A request to remove all personal details does not automatically enable us to identify records associated with undisclosed email addresses, telephone numbers or separate customer profiles.
Where insufficient information is available to reasonably identify additional records, we may be unable to locate or confirm the removal of those records.
This does not affect our obligation to process valid unsubscribe requests for contact details that can be identified.
Withdrawal of Marketing Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications from Pure Water Systems at any time.
Upon receiving a valid unsubscribe request, we will take the necessary steps to stop the relevant marketing communications in accordance with applicable Australian law.
Where appropriate, we may retain limited information in a suppression or do-not-contact record to help prevent further marketing communications to unsubscribed contact details.
Withdrawing consent to receive marketing communications does not automatically result in the deletion of all personal information held by Pure Water Systems.
Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including records relating to purchases, warranties, financial transactions, customer service enquiries and legal obligations.
Confirmation of Unsubscription or Removal
Where an unsubscribe or removal request has been successfully processed, we may provide confirmation identifying the contact details or marketing channels covered by that action.
Confirmation that one email address or telephone number has been unsubscribed does not necessarily mean that other, unidentified contact details have also been located or removed.
If you continue to receive marketing communications through another email address or telephone number, we recommend identifying those contact details so we can investigate and process the relevant request.
We will not confirm that all associated marketing records have been removed unless we have a reasonable basis for doing so.
Reporting Unwanted Marketing Communications
If you believe you are continuing to receive marketing communications from Pure Water Systems after requesting to unsubscribe, please contact us at info@purewatersystems.com.au.
To assist with our investigation, it is recommended that you provide:
-
The email address or telephone number receiving the communications.
-
The date and approximate time of the most recent communication.
-
A copy or screenshot of the communication, where available.
-
Any previous or alternative contact details that may have been associated with Pure Water Systems.
Providing additional historical contact details is voluntary. However, this information may assist us in identifying records that cannot otherwise be located.
We will investigate complaints using the information reasonably available to us and take appropriate action where necessary.
