WHAT IS REVERSE OSMOSIS?
Reverse osmosis is one of the most advanced methods of water purification, going beyond standard carbon filtration to reduce a wide range of contaminants found in drinking water.
The process forces water through an ultra-fine membrane, reducing dissolved impurities, including total dissolved solids (TDS).
The EcoHero system features the advanced EcoHero-50 Reverse Osmosis Membrane, designed to provide up to 300% improved wastewater efficiency compared with other reverse osmosis membranes.
Its ultra-fine 0.0001 micron membrane reduces total dissolved solids and contaminants such as fluoride, bacteria, viruses, herbicides, pesticides, nitrates and other organic and inorganic compounds.
The result is purified, great-tasting drinking water, conveniently available from your chosen faucet.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4 AND 5 STAGE REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS?
The EcoHero 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis System includes an additional Deionising Cartridge, providing an extra level of purification beyond the 4 Stage system.
This additional cartridge helps remove residual total dissolved solids (TDS) remaining after reverse osmosis, achieving water purity levels similar to distilled water and as low as 0 ppm TDS under specified testing conditions.*
The deionising cartridge contains tiny resin beads that attract and capture electrically charged dissolved substances through a process called ion exchange.
This additional purification stage makes the EcoHero 5 Stage system ideal for customers seeking maximum contaminant reduction before remineralisation.
5 STAGE REVERSE OSMOSIS WITH REMINERALISER
The EcoHero 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis System with Remineraliser incorporates the following filtration components:
-
1 Micron Pre-Filter
-
10 Micron Carbon Block
-
EcoHero-50 Reverse Osmosis Membrane
-
Deionising Cartridge
-
Remineraliser Cartridge
-
Post Carbon Cartridge
Each component plays an important role in reducing contaminants, improving taste and restoring minerals to your purified drinking water.
WHAT IS REMINERALISED WATER?
Reverse osmosis is highly effective at reducing contaminants, including heavy metals such as cadmium, arsenic and chromium. However, the purification process can also remove naturally occurring minerals from water.
As part of the EcoHero 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis System, the Remineraliser cartridge is designed to reintroduce beneficial minerals after the purification process.
Why Choose a Remineraliser?
The EcoHero Remineraliser contains patented mineral crystal balls that help restore minerals to purified water, including calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium.
The cartridge also raises the water's pH towards alkaline levels and is designed to reduce Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) while producing hydrogen-rich drinking water.
Installed inline with your reverse osmosis system, the remineraliser treats purified water during the final stage of the process.
What Is Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP)?
Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) measures a substance's tendency to gain or lose electrons.
The EcoHero Remineraliser is designed to reduce ORP and produce hydrogen-rich drinking water as part of its remineralisation process.

Important Performance Information
Water recovery rates of up to 50% are based on optimal operating conditions. Actual water efficiency, filtration performance and flow rates depend on incoming water quality, water pressure, temperature and system maintenance.
Replacement filters should generally be changed every 12 months or 8,000 litres, whichever occurs first, unless individual cartridge instructions specify otherwise. More frequent replacement may be necessary depending on water quality and usage.
The remineralisation cartridge reintroduces minerals and helps adjust pH following reverse osmosis purification. As a result, final drinking water TDS readings may be higher than measurements taken immediately after the RO membrane.
